This captivating artwork portrays the striking red sand hills, represented by U-shaped motifs, and narrates the profound journey undertaken by that late Minnie Pwerle, Charmaine Pwerle’s Grandmother.
The late Minnie Pwerle, along with other women from Charmaine’s family, would embark on foot journeys where they would engage in powerful ceremonial rituals.
These ceremonies encompassed the mesmerising tradition of song lines and dance cycles, connecting them to their ancestral lands and honouring their deep connection with country.
