Emali Early Learning Centre x Pwerle | Reconciliation Week 2026

What happens when you introduce four year old children to Aboriginal culture through art, storytelling and creativity? As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, Pwerle Gallery and Emali Early Learning Centre came together to create a hands on cultural experience designed to spark curiosity, connection and understanding. Inspired by the Emali Story artwork commissioned by Charmaine Pwerle, the workshop explored how some of the most meaningful conversations around reconciliation can begin from an early age through shared experiences, creativity and learning.

St Peter's Girls' School | Reconciliation Week 2026

As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, Jade Akamarre (Jade Torres) was invited to speak at St Peter's Girls' School, sharing her journey as a proud Alyawarre woman, fourth-generation artist and entrepreneur. Through personal storytelling, cultural insight and visual presentations, Jade explored this year's theme, All In for Reconciliation, encouraging students to reflect on identity, leadership, resilience and the role they can play in creating a more respectful and connected future. The presentation received overwhelmingly positive feedback, leaving a lasting impact on students and staff alike.
