In 2023, Porsche Cars Australia marked its 75-year anniversary, celebrating a legacy of innovation, performance, and timeless design. To honour this milestone, Porsche Centre Adelaide invited Jade Akamarre to collaborate on a bespoke artwork that captured both the spirit of the Porsche brand and the enduring stories of her culture.
Drawing inspiration from a collection of vibrant Porsche vehicles owned by passionate enthusiasts, Jade created a striking piece that embodied movement, colour, and dreaming. The work stood as both a celebration of Porsche’s history and a continuation of her family’s 60,000-year cultural storytelling.
The Artwork and Collaboration
At the heart of the collaboration was a custom 1.5m x 1.5m painting, commissioned especially for the event. Inspired by the anniversary’s theme, Dream in Full Colour, the piece exploded with energy and vibrancy, its palette echoing both Porsche’s dynamic spirit and the vitality of Aboriginal Country.
Jade’s design celebrated the rhythm of engineering and performance while weaving in her Dreaming stories, creating a powerful fusion of culture and automotive excellence. The result was an artwork that not only spoke to Porsche’s heritage but also offered a contemporary vision of art and innovation in full colour.

An Evening of Elegance
The anniversary was celebrated with a special dinner hosted at a spectacular venue provided by Pilatus Aircraft, where Porsche enthusiasts, collectors, and friends of the brand gathered. The evening combined fine dining, conversation, and art, creating an atmosphere that reflected both luxury and cultural depth.
Every detail of the event was considered — from custom catering and florals by Out in the Paddock, to bespoke wine crafted by Vinteloper, and immersive lighting and media by Amuse Event Lighting & Audio Visual. The setting underscored Porsche’s reputation for excellence while celebrating Jade’s ability to bring Aboriginal art into global luxury contexts.
In Conversation with Porsche
One of the most memorable moments of the evening came when Chris Windsor, Dealer Principal of Porsche Centre Adelaide, sat down with Jade for a live conversation in front of guests.
In an intimate Q&A, Jade spoke candidly about her journey as both an artist and the director of Pwerle Gallery, reflecting on what it means to walk between two worlds — the traditions of Aboriginal art and the expectations of corporate culture. She shared what first appealed to her about Porsche, her vision for bridging culture with global brands, and how her work carries forward her family’s legacy. The dialogue offered guests not only an insight into her artistry, but also into her role as a business leader and cultural custodian.
